Radiographic Imaging

The major X-ray technology used in the Center, is the ComCat® head and neck tomographic unit.  It is absolute state-of-the-art, totally computerized and robotic.  Having a hypocycloidal X-ray head and film movement, the unit delivers a distortion and smear free tomographic image at a constant 26% enlargement.  In addition to providing excitingly clear Temporomandibular joint tomographic cross-sectional and sagittal slices.  It is equipped with a static imaging arm which enables the production of the entire range of static skull and cervical views.  Always being aware of the dangers of radiation, we are happy to announce that the equivalent or superior imaging to the CAT scan can be done with our equipment, using less than 1/150th of the radiation used by the CAT technology.  Each of our films uses less X-radiation than two single dental X-rays.  The Center is also equipped with the latest in medical processing and image duplicating equipment.

It is the goal of the center to consistently provide "textbook" archival quality radiographs for diagnostic use.
